As you enter Zion through the east gate pass Checkerboard Mesa and go through the tunnel. This tree and hoodoo sit atop a slickrock plateau to your left about 150' past the tunnel. There is very limited parking on the road nearby.

Toadstools along Hwy 89, an easy 10 minute hike from the parking area. When you reach the plateau be sure to explore to you left as there are two more hidden areas accessible from here

After passing through the large tunnel in Eastern Zion, the scenic valley comes into to view. Each pullout gives you a slightly different perspective of this magnificent park. I recommend you stop at all of them if you have time

The hike to Angels Landing is truly spectacular, however even if you don't want to do the final leg, stopping after the first series of chains leads you to this beautiful view of the valley. This hike now requires a permit due to it's popularity

Kanarra Creek Slot Canyon and Ladder. this easy 2 mile hike just outside of Kanarraville crosses through a small stream. Very close to the end is a beautiful slot canyon. The hike now requires a small fee payable at a BLM ranger post next to the parking lot. the ladder has been replaced with a more secure one
